Kevin embarked on his career at 15 years old, working for his father's sprinkler company during the summer and school breaks. Starting in the fabrication shop, pulling material for jobs, he learned about the different types of material needed to complete a job. From there, he went on to the field installing pipe on various project types, from tenant modification, big box warehouses, and base office builds. After college, he relocated to the design department, taking advantage of his design skillset. He quickly outgrew his father's company and left for more opportunities. In 2006, he started at American Automatic Sprinkler Company and continued in the design segment of the business, completing his first BIM job in the DMV in 2007. From there, he moved up the ranks from Engineering Manager to Vice President and currently President. Under his leadership, he has streamlined the design process and methods, restructured estimating, took multifamily sector to 15% increase in profit in two years, raised the profile of the company via acquisitions of larger high-profile projects, led business development, and establishment of fire alarm division. In addition to showcase the expansion into other aspects of the life safety industry, Kevin has transitioned the branding to, American Fire Systems.
