Job Duties:

Use AutoCAD and HydraCAD to design sprinkler system

Determine what is needed in a specific location and how pipes connect to fire pump.

Export Navis software using HydraCAD software

Choose sprinklers to do hydraulic calculations by using HydraCALC software

Use AutoCAD software “Model” and plot function to create design drawings

Add the results of hydraulic calculations from HydraCALC report

Submit design drawing file set to GC and County for review

Use HydraCAD and HydraLIST to create cutting list drawings and reports for installation

Use AutoLIST software to create reports

Select products for sprinklers, pipes, valves, hangers, and fire pumps to be used onsite

Provide cutting list drawings, reports, and product data sheets to team to order products and cutting pipes

Analyze software collected data to answer questions about the design, site changes, product changes, and design conflicts.
Requirements:
The job requires a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Protection and Safety Technology Engineering. Requires 24 months of experience as a Fire Protection Design, Fire Protection Engineering. Must have 2 years of sprinkler system project design per specification using AutoCAD and Hydra CAD, 2 years of project reporting, 2 years preparing submittals by using Bluebeam for General Contractor and AHJs, 2 years of 3D coordination with other trades based on BIM (risk assessment), 2 years of experience working with building and trade permits ensuring design compliance, 2 years of experience with HydraCALC, HydraLIST, and 2 Years of experience with FDS, FireFOAM, CONTAM, CFAST, Pathfinder, MATLAB.
